Rare Fish. Real Rivers.

True Southern Fly Fishing.

Georgia’s home for elite Shoal Bass and multi‑species river fishing adventures.

Guided float and wading trips on Georgia’s warm water rivers specializing in Shoal Bass, Spotted Bass, Alabama Bass, and Largemouth Bass — year‑round opportunities in low‑pressure fisheries.

What We Do:

Peach State Fly Fishing exists to give anglers access to something rare: authentic river fishing for native black bass species in their natural habitat.

While most anglers chase crowded lakes and heavily pressured waters, we focus on Georgia’s warm water river systems — places where current, structure, and seasonal patterns create some of the most rewarding bass fishing in the Southeast.

Our specialty is Shoal Bass — a rare native species found in only a few river systems in the world. These fish are powerful, aggressive, and perfectly adapted to moving water, making them one of the most exciting targets on a fly rod.

But Shoal Bass aren’t the only opportunity. On any given trip, anglers may encounter:

  • Spotted Bass

  • Alabama Bass

  • Largemouth Bass

  • Sunfish species

  • Gar

We guide anglers through dynamic river environments using float trips and wading trips designed around real river conditions — not fixed schedules or cookie‑cutter experiences.

This is not resort fishing. This is true river fishing — personal, skill‑based, and deeply connected to the water.

Our Top Strengths:

  • Shoal Bass are found in very few places — and our region holds some of the best opportunities in the country to target them consistently.

  • We don’t guide lakes. We guide moving water — reading current, structure, seams, and shoals.

  • Trips are customized to conditions and angler goals — float trips for coverage, wading trips for immersion.

  • We operate in rivers that remain lightly pressured compared to crowded public waters.

  • Georgia’s warm water rivers fish 12 months a year with seasonal patterns.

  • We teach water reading, presentation, and river strategy — not just casting.

Testimonials.

“An Unforgettable First Fly Fishing Experience!

I had an incredible experience with Peach State Fly Fishing! Owner and guide, Quint Rogers, helped me check a long overdue goal off my list—learning to fly fish. Quint was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, professional, and most of all, patient. While I didn’t expect to catch anything on my first outing, I was pleasantly surprised to land three fish! Beyond the fishing, I enjoyed the great conversation and the time spent on the river. Quint made the entire experience fun and educational. Highly recommend Peach State Fly Fishing for anyone interested in learning or seeking and experienced guide.”

“Shoalie Southern Hospitality.

Peach State gave me an awesome experience. My first Shoal Bass! While I love fly fishing, I also got to enjoy some conventional. The rivers shoals and rapids are beautiful, the rafts and guidance were great, and the company is fun. Will be going back to these friends.”
